TheatreworksUSA celebrates the centennial of the Wright brothers' successful flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina with the premiere of a new musical based on Arthur Giron's play FLIGHT. (approximately one-hour in length)

For as long as he can remember, Wilbur Wright has dreamed of building a machine that will enable man to soar and take flight. His father has other plans: he believes Wilbur has a calling to follow in his preacher father's footsteps. Wilbur is convinced that his calling is leading him down another path B but he lacks the technical skills to put his ambitions into action.

Meanwhile, Orville Wright shares his brother's aspiration of creating a flying craft. With his ailing mother's support, he develops the technical skills to build and modify bicycles. Maybe this know-how can somehow be adapted to construct a lighter-than-air machine... but Orville doesn't have the creative inspiration to come up with the necessary ideas.

All the while, the Wright brothers' bitter rivalry threatens to derail the hope of man ever ascending to the sky. It is only when they set aside their differences and work together as a team, as collaborators, as brothers, that they achieve their dream of FLIGHT!
